Three Music Videos

You Me At Six - Genre - Pop Punk -
Save it for the bedroom

You Me At Six have two different music videos for this song, one of the video is a promotional video at two of there concerts, the video also shows fans in the background and in the audience having a good time. The purpose of the music video is to promote the band so that the audience see's what there concerts are like so they raise ticket sales and what there music is like.
The production techniques used is filming two different live concerts and linking them together, filming the excited crowd in the audience and outside the concert waiting to go in and see them, this was used to show what the band is like live and how much fun audiences and themselfs have when they perform.
The mood they leave feeling in this video is a good atmosphere, feels like you want to go and join them in the concert let your hair down and have a good time.
There other video for Save It For The Bedroom is a vidoe based on a T/V chat show about people with fake funny problems, the 'host' just stands around being funny pulling faces while the band play in the background with an audience cheering them on. The band also dress up as the characters on the show some dressed as woman, this shows a sence of humour in the band and that they like to have a laugh doing there videos.

Dido - Genre - Pop, Trip Hop, Alternative Rock
White Flag

The start of this video is simple and shows the artist at home sat on the bed and its filmed there until she moves around the room to look at pictures, between these shots there is also a man to whom we as the audience believes she is referring too, this is done so that the video links these two together and we get a picture as to what has gone on. When the shots do move from a simple one of her sitting on the bed it shows her walking down the street to a place she wants to go, the camera moves around her so it shows her facial expressions and what she is thinking, the music video portrays her as famous already as she does autographs for people in the street. The two main people portrayed in this music video do identical things, the purpose of this video is to show that two people can be connected in a way but never meet but just want each other. The techniques used is having a shot of the characters together doing the same thing but not knowing the other is there and living next to each other showing it through the windows of the apartments.

Flo Rida - Genre Rap
Low

The whole of this music video is based in a club, with men and woman dancing to the beat of the music the only other shot in this video is two people sat on top of a car singing along to the music. The point of this music video is to show that this kind of music is mainly played in clubs and the kind of music you dance along to. Its also the music video for a film named Step Up which is a dance film, so showing the people in the background dancing also relates to the movie.
